Weekday Events Your Budget (and Guests!) Will Love

What puts the “special” in a special event? The people, the party and the place. Having your weddingshower, confirmation, bar or bat mitzvah, holiday partygraduation party or other milestone event on a weekend or weekday isn’t nearly as important as who is there, what happens during the event and where it is.

Booking a business event? A weekday event makes the best use of time when your attendees are primed to get down to work. Consider weekdays and evenings when you’re hosting a board meeting, training session, strategic planning retreat, networking event, retirement party or other business-related event.

We’re ready to reveal the top reason to host during the week: It’s budget-friendly! You get the same beautiful venue, award-winning cuisine, top-shelf amenities and attentive events team for a smaller investment.

“We’re excited to work with our guests to tailor their events to their specific needs,” said The Gables at Chadds Ford Banquet Manager Kelly Donahue. “Some of our top reasons why every season is event season here are the unique, rustic-chic setting, al fresco options, experienced events team, customizable menu packages and trusted vendors for outside services such as A/V, music, photography and much more.”

Although great food, amazing ambiance, one-stop shopping and a convenient location are reasons enough to book, it’s the lower room fees that catch the attention of savvy event pros, smart brides and astute party planners.

“Our weekday rates include the same amenities you’d get on a weekend: standard white table linens, napkins, china, glassware, flatware, tea light candles, use of the outdoor terrace, room setup and cleanup,” Kelly added. “If you’re planning a wedding, you’ll love that our wedding ceremony fee includes white folding chairs, ceremony tent insurance, setup, breakdown and use of our terrace and wedding suite.”

Off-peak rates (January, February, March and December), Monday through Thursday, four daytime hours or five evening hours:

  • Wedding room rates: $100 for daytime; $150 for evening.
  • Banquet room rates: $100 for daytime; $150 for evening.

Peak rates (April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November), Monday through Thursday, four daytime hours or five evening hours:

  • Wedding room rates: $200 for daytime; $500 for evening.
  • Banquet room rates: $100 for daytime; $200 for evening.

Special note to couples considering The Gables at Chadds Ford for a wedding: Those who book the reception within two months receive either special pricing on a silk flower wall, one passed or stationed hors d’oeuvre, or a complimentary champagne toast.

“We’re known for our weddings, but we also host many business-related events,” Kelly continued. “Your room rate includes access to the terrace and fire pits for breaks and break-out sessions in the good weather, or we can set the room up accordingly. Our events team can arrange for reasonably priced on-site equipment rentals. And, of course, there’s customizable menus for every type of occasion — we know how to help you master the meeting.”

Who doesn’t like to save money, especially when you don’t have to sacrifice quality? Consider a weekday event for your next occasion. Eyeing The Gables? Check availability, or call our events team at (610) 388-7700.
